Vue and Plant Factory April update
E-ON software has announced its latest update to Vue and Plant Factory, the first for 2019. New features include the ability to load objects from a scene directly into an EcoSystem for faster setup.
Cloud materials have been improved so that they can be edited exactly the same way as cloud layer materials, either at the front end of the material or dive into the function editor.
The Path Tracer gets support for several new features including back lighting, displacement, camera backdrops, coloured highlights and emissive materials and in PlantFactory, the Path Tracer can now be used interactively in real-time.
Vue and PlantFactory are available for rental at 3 tiers: Creator, which includes cut-down versions of the tools aimed at hobbyists for $19.95 per month, Professional for freelancers and professionals for $75 per month and Enterprise which adds network rendering and render nodes for $99 per month.
Many more small improvements and fixes are included, read the full press release on E-ON’s website and see demos on the features page.
