After a beta testing phase that lasted a number of months, Insydium has released v3 of its particle system plugin for Cinema 4D. New features include: FLIP solver for smoke and fire simulations (as
well as improved liquids), Elektrix object for lightning and electrical effects, Branching modifier for branched structures, Network modifier for enhanced grid-like effects, Tendril modifier for creepy tentacle effects and much more. Watch a video on Vimeo and find out more on Insydium’s website.

The Version 3 release,
has a very annoying licensing system.
An internet connection every 21 days is necessary.
I preorderd and did`t saw this coming.
So my purchase was an accident.
I don`t understand why they have changed the licensing system to such an inconvenient one.
I think this comes close to a rental system and doesn`t feel like i actually bought the thing.
I prefer to work long periods offline in quiet places.
Maybe it`s time to think about using houdini engine and the cinema engine plugin instead which will be also more versatile.
Aside from this major disadvantage it`s prefectly integrated into cinema with a huge feature set.
