Nice use of CG in this spot with VFX produced by The Mill, showing life as a collection of dishes. The Mill removed rigs that were used to suspend plates and also generated 3D plates, glasses and cutlery to fill in the live action shots as well as a CG dishwasher. It took over 2000 stills of stains to help create the CG stains seen on each dish. Watch the video on Vimeo.

Automatic Duck has released Ximport AE, a plugin for Final Cut Pro X and After Effects designed for transferring projects between both software. Adobe has disclosed some of the new features that will be added to their video and audio tools, which are available through the company's Creative Cloud. The After Effects update will bring enhanced preview behaviors, UI improvements for touch screens, better color fidelity, new importers for additional formats and codecs (H.265, DNxHR, etc), etc. Premiere Pro will expand support for UltraHD and HDR formats with the inclusion of DNxHR, H.265 and OpenEXR. A Lumetri effect will be added to After Effects, ensuring color fidelity between Premiere Pro and After Effects. The Foundry has announced that as of September 30th, 2015, they will be discontinuing  Kronos for After Effects and Keylight for Final Cut Pro.
