Ephere’s GPU physics plugin Lucid has been updated to 1.4. New features include 3DS Max 2018 support, switch to the Flex 1.1 library which means that not just GPUs made by Nvidia are supported, support for unlimited number of deforming SDF meshes, some fixes and more. Lucid is available for US$249. A demo is available for users to test. Find out more on Ephere’s website.
This is epic i just hope they will fix the direct3d issues.
Thank you. I believe the D3D issue you’re referring to is lack of support for DX9. We recently learned that at least DX11 is required to run Lucid, so anything below that is not supported.
This is impressive stuff. The developer is awesome. It’s just a weird situation, because I have been moving from Max to Houdini Indie, and even as cool as this is it amounts to paying $50 more than my Indie license to add a small piece of Houdini’s physics/fluids capabilities to Max 2018. I don’t want to diminish the achievement of the creator of this, but now there’s another thing Autodesk can point to when they decide not to add these features to the core.
