MASH is a collection of 24 Maya nodes that was initially developed and maintained in-house at Mainframe, which allows users to develop and design elements through a procedural animation toolkit inside of Maya. The technology behind MASH will now be moved over to Autodesk, where they will continue to implement and add features to the Maya toolkit. For more information on this story, you can read the news release on the MASH Mainframe website.
Can’t be more excited to hear this news. MASH is one of the single best mograph tools on the market today, so MASH + Autodesk = nothing but good things. Fingers crossed they find a way to bring some form of it to 3DS Max!
Just another shopping day for Autodesk. Just hoping Maya does not turn into a bloated pig that cannot tie its own shoe lace…
Hahahahah…Maya taking on Zbrush, Cinema 4D and Houdini…What are they trying to do over at Autodesk? Create the ultimate 3D software? Should be something like that given their megalo-manners!!
autodesk should focus on 3ds max
Hmmm… will they license ATK for max now?
