Quixel Mixer beta released
Quixel has announced that a beta of its new Mixer app for combining PBR materials to create new maps is now available.
Mixer enables the user to create new maps by combining, blending, and manipulating PBR materials, including scanned textures from the Megascans library. It works by modifying and layering textures including the use of the material’s physical attributes to blend information plus a multi-channel painter for more art-directed control. 32-bit images are supported and the resultant materials can be exported to several file formats or to Megascans Bridge.
Find out more and download the beta on the Megascans website.
this software is awesome but I think it should be free – I’ve bought subscription several times, I got the scans and surfaces that I need – but I can’t use it (if my subscription is not active). Either that or they should sell permament licenses for the mixer that do not require active subscription
they should sell the company to allegorithmic, and be done with it,
that’s the best for everybody
It seems they are more interested in selling it to Foundry…
Then I’m out
