Soft8Soft has released a new version of Verge3D that adds compatibility with 3DS Max. Previously only integrated with Blender, Verge3D allows you to author interactive web-based 3D content using WebGL and Three.js libraries via an easy to understand visual editor. Content is authored in 3DS Max including the use PBR materials, environment textures, lights, cameras, groups, animation, and more. Interactivity is created using a visual editor inspired by the Scratch visual programming interface. Once complete, applications can either be self-hosted or shared via Verge3D’s network. Verge3D is compatible with 3ds Max 2018, 2017, 2016 and 2015 and costs $290 for a personal license. Team licenses costs $990 and Enterprise costs $2990. More information including demos and a fully functional trial is available on Soft8Soft’s website.
