Serif has announced the released of version 1.6 of Affinity Photo and Designer software bringing shared features and improvements, several of which were frequently requested by users. Improvements include:
- A new stabiliser for smooth brush strokes with Rope or Windows mode for different smoothing behaviour.
- Light or dark user UI.
- Smoother panning and zooming.
- The ability to exclude objects from snapping.
- The ability to unlock all locked layers or show all hidden layers simultaneously.
- Auto-scroll jumps to selected layer content in Layers Panel.
- Improved Photoshop plug-in support.
- Quicker rendering of Live Filters.
- PDF export improvements including vector export of multi-stop gradients.
- Raw image rotation.
- Unlock all locked layers or show all hidden layers simultaneously.
- Auto-scroll jumps to selected layer content in Layers Panel.
- Halftone filter.
- Exclude objects from snapping.
- Several text improvements including vertial alignment of frame text, the ability to fit a frame to its contents, and new glyph browser features.
- Better handling of larger documents
