Serif has announced a number of interesting features that will be included in Affinity Photo 1.5, including several that are useful for 3D artists. New features will include:
- Advanced HDR merge producing full 32-bit linear colour space images
- An entirely new workspace for tone mapping
- Focus stacking to bring depth to multiple combined images
- Batch processing for smoother, faster workflow
- Macros to record and replay a set of commands
- An all-new way to edit 360 degree images
Affinity Photo 1.5 is scheduled for Mac release this summer and for its first PC outing this autumn (Northern Hemisphere). To see the new features, check out the sneak peek video on Vimeo.
They will kick Adobes` subscription ass so much… Can`t wait to see that 🙂
I hope they will.. But I have feeling they will need Premiere Pro, After effects and Audition alternatives for Affinity family too if they want to compete with Adobe’s subscription 🙁 Don’t know is there coming any… Just read long time ago from serif’s forum that “no movieplus x7 planned” so is there coming alternative like Affinity Movie/Premiere? Don’t know, but I hope so, I also hope some Affinity Compositing/Motion Effects 🙂
Affinity Publisher is already coming, can’t wait what it will bring. And I know that there is alternatives for Premiere and Ae already, even free like Davinci resolve and Fusion – great tools but most of Adobe users are stuck in their workflow where all creative software work “seamlessly” together :/
But Affinity Photo and Designer are great tools, and I wish all best for these softwares – I hope they will kick Adobe’s ass – Affinity is really innovating and developing their software, not just cashing – they are making great customer service, incredible work what we all need.
There *is* an alternative to AfterFX/Premiere already! It is called BMD Fusion/Resolve. Very powerful and they have free versions.
