After Effects beta gains new 3D tools
Adobe has released a new After Effects public beta with revamped 3D transform gizmos and 3D camera navigation tools. The new 3D Transform gizmos will be familiar to anyone coming from a 3D DCC. The translation, rotate, scale or combined gizmos allows users to use axes locks as well as guides that can show how far a layer or object has been moved and how many degrees it has been rotated.
Camera navigation tools have also been improved, allowing users to navigate 3D space more intuitively. A new default scene camera streamlines scene setup and multiple cameras can be added to a scene with the ability to orbit, pan, and dolly around objects using customisable keyboard shortcuts.
Beta builds are available from the “Beta apps tab” in the Creative Cloud Desktop app. To find out more about the release, visit the Adobe blog.
