Did they just announce H.264 as a feature? I believe it that was removed around 10 years ago xD
I cursed adobe every time i had to take my shit to premiere to export h264. And That makes the curse amounts to 12478400753.147
…and why not just use media encoder?
You must work for Adobe : ).
Media encoder is the sorry excuse that never was and will be practical in any mid production or creation process.
Also the very practice by Adobe to remove h264 from after effects was one filled with either malice and intentionally baffling choice to hurt the user base or one of incompetence. I say both. No other reason really.
You misunderstood me. I meant, why don’t you use media encoder instead of premiere?
As much as I hated losing mp4 in AE, I got used to render Prores and then do a quick compression in ME. That way I always have the final file on hand in case there client signs off the MP4
P.S.: I also do this because I distrust Adobe’s efficiency in rendering and compressing at the same time. Rendering AE files directly in ME is unreliable as hell, so I rather take that route…
Way more importend! They support now native 3D Objects in the new Beta of AE!!!!
It’s very, very primitive at the moment, but I really hope, for them and us, that they will expand the 3D realtime functions heavily in the next updates!
New Formts like (fbx. abc. usd.)
Moving 3D meshes
Mixamo support (with a simple rigging tool link in Mixamo),
Raytracing Lights (new types)
RT Shadows, Reflections,
PBR Shader Editor (with link to Substance)
Pintcloud support (VDBs)
New physical Cameras (easy projection workflow),
Primitives and simple Deformer for dummy Geo and Projection Mapping.
3D Particles (with a node graph)
and and and
With Substance, they have now 3D know-how at Adobe.
I really hope Adobe starts to listen to us! It’s already five past twelfth!
Dammit… This is the Update we wanted 10 Years ago…
