Anima 5 released with 4D walking characters
AXYZ design has announced the release of Anima 5. New features include a new realistic 4D Digital Human walking character system. These include facial expressions and clothing deformations. To support these characters, a new pedestrian path generation system has been included, designed for use in both close and medium camera shots.
In addition, the release also introduces a new crowd generation system based on neural networks. The new engine, called Neural Crowds, uses an AI built from training with thousands of walking movements performed with motion capture. The result allows us to offer crowds that move more naturally.
The Anima file format has been improved to include vertex velocity information more realistic and physically accurate motion blur, and work has also taken place to boost the performance of the encoding and decoding algorithms of the 4D format when used in Unreal Engine 5.
