Krzysztof Hrycak has posted an impressive video of his tests to animate schools of fish using TyFlow in 3ds Max. The animations are created almost entirely using PhysX based crowd systems with full dynamics and interaction between elements. According to Krzysztof , the only manually keyed animation is the tail action. Check it out on Vimeo.
