According to rumors, the company would be looking into the acquisition of real estate property due to running out of companies to acquire, and the possibility of taking advantage of current economic prospects. As part of the plan Autodesk customers on subscription would be awarded vacation time on the Autodesk Island premises 10 days a year, with reservations being coordinated through Autodesk’s Area.
The Autodesk Island is expected to offer a recreational, pristine environment with leading edge infrastructure installations that will include the Maya Fluids pool lounge, with heated pool and outstanding dusk sea views, and the exclusive 3DS Max Excali-Bar for late night drinks. The Autodesk Cloud would hover above the island, providing dramatic improvements in wireless functionality for leisure activities.
“Vacations are a way of building community, and island real estate is quite cheap these days. It opens a whole new world of possibilities for furthering the companies’ vision”, says industry analyst Douglas Breeze. Fiji and the Kingdom of Tonga are reportedly among the most likely candidates.

It was too easy: 1st April
A content related news like: Autodesk merges “Max and Maya” (at last) or Autodesk ports ICE from Softimage into Max (1:1) would definitely trick me.
