Cake presentations using projection mapping

We first reported on projection mapping being used on wedding cakes back in 2014. UK-based Candy And Grim Cakes is currently using projection mapping to create cake presentations for weddings and PR events, and Maxon has posted an article on how the company is using Cinema 4D to design cakes and create the projected videos. Read the article and head over to Candy And Grim Cakes’ website for more. (Note: expect content aimed at publicizing Maxon’s software on the company’s article)

Hi

For those that are interested, we do have a couple of projection mapping tutorials and free rigs/templates for C4D
Pt 1
https://vimeo.com/122381651
Pt 2
https://vimeo.com/137888173
Freebie

Naturally there are several creative pipelines when it comes to creating 3D projection mapped objects, (Maya, 3D max, Modo, D3 technology, VDMX, Modul8, Isadora, Green Hippo, to name a few), we simply prefer to use Cinema 4D, AfterEffects with RE:mapUV, MadMapper and Millumin.

Thanks

Simon
