Chaos announces a new archviz product, plus future plans for V-Ray, Vantage, Corona, and more
Chaos has announced its future plans across its product range in a recent Chaos Unboxed event.
Firstly, Chaos introduced a storytelling platform, codenamed Project Eclipse, designed for rapid architectural visualization storytelling, capable of accepting scenes from Enscape or V-Ray integrations and offering tools for scene enhancement, design exploration, and animation. Little more is know at present, but according to the livestream it is nearly ready for beta release.
The company also revealed plans to integrate its photorealistic rendering solution, V-Ray, with Blender, the open-source 3D software favored by a wide spectrum of users, from beginners to large studios. This move is anticipated to bridge the gap between Blender’s accessibility and V-Ray’s advanced rendering capabilities. Additionally, V-Ray is set to receive “significant enhancements aimed at improving compatibility and accessibility across different platforms and tools”
Further developments include improvements to Enscape, Chaos’s real-time rendering tool, introducing features such as Cloud Collaboration support, access to the Chaos Cosmos asset library, and a new module for real-time analysis of building performance in terms of energy efficiency. Enscape will also benefit from an AI-driven approach to creating NPR renders and enhanced GPU and mobile viewing options.
In addition, Corona Renderer will gain support for Cloud Collaboration, the ability to use .vrscenes and integration with Chaos Vantage.
On the subject of Vantage, Chaos announced the introduction of Vantage for Virtual LED Stage, designed to streamline the workflow for virtual productions.
On the generative AI front, Cylindo will see the integration of AI-generated Instant Lifestyle Image and the Chaos Cosmos asset library is set to include chat-driven material creation, enhancing user interaction and customization.
Chaos has also launched Chaos Next, an AI lab focused on integrating artificial intelligence into its offerings, and introduced a new storytelling platform for rapid architectural visualization, facilitating seamless design exploration and client collaboration.
It is assumed that this is a broad strokes look at the year and that more detail about individual products will be announced in due course.
