Lovely renderer, but incredibly unreliable and complete memory pig.
Just curious, why is corona unreliable?
We were thinking of trying it out. Can you expand on what makes it unreliable?
Using Corona since alpha and I have no clue how someone would say this. It’s been much more stable than anything I’ve been using… and it’s well integrated in Max. And definitely a lovely renderer with good support.
Give it a try and see for yourself, I’d say!
I not will feel shocked if that guy includes eevee, free cycles or another random free-blender-thing in the explanation…
I would also like to hear why it’s unreliable as well. I’ve used it on several projects and it has been a reliable workhorse for me. I’m excited to try out the new Phoenix FD integrations.
I say it’s unreliable purely because the chances of a render failing overnight, more often than not due to memory, is much higher than VRay. We do render rather large images (6000×4000) but that’s the standard, and that’s usually with memory conservation on and lightmix off, or down to 3 elements.
