DaVinci Resolve 18 released
Blackmagic Design has announced the release of DaVinci Resolve 18. New features include a major new cloud collaboration update which allows multiple editors, colourists, VFX artists and audio engineers to work simultaneously on the same project, on the same timeline, anywhere in the world.
DaVinci Resolve 18 supports the Blackmagic Cloud for hosting and sharing projects, as well as a new DaVinci proxy workflow. This update also includes new Resolve FX AI tools powered by the DaVinci Neural Engine, as well as time saving tools for editors, Fairlight legacy fixed bus to FlexBus conversion, GPU accelerated paint in Fusion, and more.
Read the announcement in full on the Blackmagic Design website.
It is in Beta. I think this is only an announcement.
The beta is available to download, some of the features are in there (depth matte) for example, others like the new magic mask that uses the neural engine isn’t yet
Great software
Indded quite good, but the hardware requirements are not small.
This has become the norm for almost all graphic software, and it is software with medium requirements. It can run on 8 GB RAM, 2 or 4 GB graphics card, and a medium-power processor. I’m working on it on a computer hp z800 with a relatively recent graphics card (was rx 560 amd Then upgrade to gtx 1080 ti )
I am a person that came from the classic Sonic Foundry Vegas video editor…very light
I could not use the Davinci Resolve 17, every time I log in the application reject then directly out. Finally I decide still using Adobe Premiere Pro. Laptop is Acer with 12 GB RAM
You know that writing that it has 12Gb RAM is not enough?
Minimum Requirement for RAM = 16GB.
I have used it on an 8 GB ram pc but not heavy works no fusion camera tracking(not smoothly of course )
this may be another problem on your pc, try to uninstall any previous version before installing a new one and update the drivers
We know nothing about his PC besides that it has 12Gb.
You are right
