Deadline version 10.3.0.9 released
Amazon has released a new update for Deadline, version 10.3.0.9, bringing several enhancements to the core application and updates to integrations.
The new release sees Deadline upgrading to Python 3.10 as the default for all applications and plugins, removing support for Python 2 and Python 3.7. This update also adds support for Unreal Engine 5, 3ds Max 2024, After Effects 2023, Cinema 4D 2023, Maya 2024, and VRED 2023 and 2024, while discontinuing support for versions 2019 and earlier of VRED.
General improvements in this release include the addition of a new application plugin and Monitor submitter for DeadlineCommand, fixing an issue with installing Deadline Client over an existing installation on Linux, fixing an issue with the SideFX startup script that was causing Usage Based Licensing (UBL) license checkouts to fail for versions of Houdini newer than 18.0, updated License Forwarder to be more robust under load, updated AWS Portal S3 bucket setup to use bucket policies instead of ACLs, fixed an issue in the JobTransfer plugin which caused remote transferring of jobs to another Deadline installation to fail when connected via Remote Connection Server, plus several more fixes.
