Dynamic surface emission system

Colombian FX artist Alejandro Echeverry has posted a video showing a dynamic surface emission system he developed in Houdini to reinforce tendril emission over any surface. The system provides control over tendril emission reinforcement within a frame range, number of particles, initial velocity, etc.
In the preview when a particle’s drop gains enough volume, it activates the dynamic emission and soft triggers an influence force that makes the drop raise and create the tendril’s emission dynamically. This setup makes it possible to create condensation-like effects for example, but as true fluid simulations. Watch the video and find out more on Vimeo.
