Google has acquired Zync Render, the cloud-based render service. Zync Render gained a lot of coverage when it was used by VFX studio Atomic Fiction on such productions as Looper, Flight, and Star Trek Into Darkness. Zync Render will now become part of Google’s Cloud Platform team, which will offer studios scalable performance and capacity, as their rendering needs change from project to project. For more details on this merger, you can read the story on the Variety webpage.
