Google has opened the doors to their latest development. The Art Project is the result of a collaboration with some of the world’s most renowned art museums to enable people to discover and view more than a thousand artworks online in great detail. The site allows you to move around the museum’s galleries with Street View technology, navigate through interactive floor plans, explore featured artworks at high resolution down to brushstroke-level detail, and create your own collections of masterpieces. Participating museums include The Metropolitan Museum of Art (NY), MoMA (NY), National Gallery (London), Van Gogh Museum (Amsterdam), Palace of Versailles (France), Uffizi Gallery (Florence), The State Hermitage Museum (St Petersburg), etc. Visit the Google Art Project.
