Great Talks About Photorealism
Bogdan Sasu has announced a new book called Great Talks about Photo Realism, which features a behind the scenes look at how 9 well-respected artists in the visualisation community achieve their impressive work. Interviewees include Johannes Lindqvist, Raphael Rau, Dušan Vukčevič, Lucia Frascerra, Michela Tonelli, Mohit Sanchaniya, Mano Karlinger, Eduard Caliman, and Jakub Čech. Pre-sale purchases of the book will also include seven 3d scenes created by the featured artists. Until the end of July, the book costs 69 euros, including the 3d scenes. After the pre-sale, the book will cost 59 euros but the scenes will be sold separately for 39 euros. Find out more on the project’s website.
lol what rubbish
bloody arch vis artists just wack an hdri in corona, grab some pre made assest and call them selves propfessioinals
insane!
ban arch vis
but the presale though
Oh come one, there’s shit work done in any profession, you are oversimplifying things quite a bit. A pro can model unwrap and shade that exact sofa from the shitty 300px photo or that stacked dry stone wall with the moss hanging out ‘feature’ when it’s needed, as well as make the client’s scribbly napkin sketch into a pleasing image.
As for premade assets – why waste time and client’s money on something some poor sap has already made and is selling for 6$. Of course if you expect to do a decent quality work, these ‘assets’ usually need at least a total redo of the shaders.
The guys in the book are pretty good, while the “author”, who is not, is obviously using them as a cash-grab. just imho
For this comment you just used internet that was made by other person, PC that was made by other person, a lot of other stuff that was made by other persons, and this website that also was made by other person.
Insane!
Ban you.
