(Update) Handplane has now been commercially released. Currently the tool is able to create correct tangent based normals for 3DS Max, Maya, Unreal, Source and Unity from an object space normals map. Find out more on Handplane’s official website.
Handplane is a tool that helps resolve the headache of creating different tangent based normals maps to match the different tangent basis needs of a number of game engines and 3D programs. The application takes an object space normals map and the low poly mesh to create correct tangent spaced normals. Find out more and join the public beta at Polycount.
