IKMAX – rigging plugin for 3DS Max
3DToAll has released IKMAX, a new rigging plugin for 3DS MAX. The tool works by clicking on the mesh to place a joint and has sliders to adjust skinning for a faster starting point that can be later refined using Max’s built-in tools.
Fast attach allow the user to quickly append objects to the rig by selecting them and clicking to body part to attach to the relevant bone. Mirroring adjustments is supported, and there’s a one-click skin wrap option for clothing etc. To test rigging there’s a animate test function that adds an animation automatically.
