Nice artwork and animation. But the lengthy and more and more banal story managed to give me an impressive first time experience: I fell asleep in a public cinema for the first time in my life !
I know and respect the hard work you guys did but please put more energy into the story, the dramaturgy and the resulting dialogs. It’s fairly cheap compared to the rest of the production! (However i saw the german version – so can’t speak about the original dialogs)
Ha ha! That’s not good.
Still, the film is getting good scores both on IMDB and Metacritic:

Just to note, ILM had nothing to do with the story, the story was developed by the director (Gore) on his own, and then he brought the project to ILM to create the visuals. So if you didn’t like the story, ILM is not the entity to complain to 🙂 That said, I know a lot of people who enjoyed the story, so your mileage may vary.
