New features in the latest version of CLO Virtual Fashion’s cloth design and simulation software include:
– Snapping
– Saving/loading all avatar related files at once – a unified avatar file (.avt) has been introduced. The file includes model(avatar, hair, accessory), size, pose, motion, arrangement points and bounding volumes.
– More intuitive fabric material interface – you can assign the fabric color only by adjusting color and intensity not like the previous versions that you had to do with Ambient, Diffuse and Specular colors.
– Precise seam line selection – to select a specific seam line out of the other many overlapped seam lines.
– Precise seam line length adjusting – you can type an exact length value on the dialog box when creating or editing seam lines
– Arranging multiple patterns at once – it is difficult to arrange multiple pieces of patterns around the avatar piece by piece. In this case, select all pieces and click an arrangement point, then pieces are arranged properly altogether at once.
– Auto Deactivation – when terminating the program, the license is being deactivated automatically. You don´t have to do the license deactivation procedure any more when you want to run the program on a different PC.
– Turkish and Portuguese (Brazil) languages added
According to CLO Virtual Fashion, in this release they have focused on stability.
CLO 3D v3.74 is also available. CLO 3D and Marvelous Designer are two different versions of the software. Marvelous Designer is being developed for film, animation and the game industry, while CLO 3D is aimed at the fashion industry. More on Marvelous Designer’s forum.
