MaxFlow: A new scene management plugin for 3ds Max
TRViz has announced MaxFlow, a new plugin for 3ds Max that aims to simplify scene management through a node-based system. Core features include:
- Node-Based System: MaxFlow uses a node-based interface for managing scene data, allowing users to switch between different lighting and compositions easily.
- Compatibility: The plugin is designed to work with 3ds Max and supports rendering engines like Vray and Corona.
- Batch Rendering: A state recording feature is included, enabling multiple lighting and rendering setups within the same Max file. This can be rendered and saved in one click.
The plugin offers a 30-day free trial and comes with customer support. It’s available for a one-time purchase, eliminating the need for a subscription. Find out more on Gumroad.
Memories of Zookeeper.
It’s certainly a jungle out there
Unless Autodesk does this Internally on Max’s core code, all these plugins are destined to fail and not see mass adoption.
Autodesk will wait untill everyone is using Blender
Blender does not manage its lighting/rendering with a nodal workflow neither…
Blender is nice but many parts are quite old school, as mush if not much more than 3ds/maya.
How about Arnold?
this won’t last and will never be updated – like most max plugins it will die unfortunately
Only negative comment? Plugin looks very well designed with very pleasant UI and no subscription. All thing you guys should like. We can be hopefully this keep growing into something very good. The people behind this also made the 3DMax SME SearchBar for free. Very cool stuff I would say.
I agree, very cool stuff. Not sure why the dweebs above need to just on here just to immediately negative about it all. It’s sad seeing comments like that, when people are just trying to help.
Right? Very odd responses for any obviously useful tool.
Its simply tradition here. There simply can’t be any good thing arround max 🙂
I had to think a bit, but was’nt this the site once called maxunderground, i think i’m right ?
@spacefrog – yes maxunderground, once upon a time, a long time ago 🙂
I don’t know Joker, a lot of your plugins (thinking of ATK toolkit) stopped development and had no updates or proper documentation.
Throwing stones in glass houses here.
I don’t blame you but its also a reason why we wont pay for small plugins that look like they will die and be abandoned.
Id rather pay more and get quality and assurance that the devs dont give up after 4 weeks.
This is something Blender should do for years, but they are stuck with their 2000s workflow forever.
Blender is damn awful! I tried it for a while… you get to the same results, but it’s much more labor-intensive!
The Tool looks good. But why is there still no nodebased native tool in max?
Simply put…
We don’t need another high level scene management for Max.
This needs to come from Autodesk, as a fully nodal Interface, where the user can do this -scene management- but also, Modifier stack connections, as well as material/motion/parameters/reactor/links/expression type of connections visually. All under one seamless UI. Not disconnected and limited plugins that sit on top of the existing archaic technology…
that is the way
I would give my left arm for a material editor like Unreal Engine.
I have justed received the following email from the developer :
“Maxflow was hacked so now everyone can use it for free
Today I know that maxflow is cracked, so I announce that 1.1 will be free to use forever, have fun.”
