E-on software has released updates to Vue and PlantFactory. Both tools see UI improvements and Vue also gains improvements to image-based lighting and interoperability, with support for Lightwave 2018. Performance has also been improved with up to 6x faster EcoSystem cache generation and 10% faster rendering of very large EcoSystem populations, in addition to faster read and write mechanisms. Ecosystems can now also be created with native instances in 3DS Max, Maya, and Cinema 4D. PlantFactory gains a new diamond leaf node for creating low poly assets and a seasonal material editor dedicated to the Bentley LumenRT real-time engine. The flower node has been enhanced with a dedicated 2D profile filter editor to easily add more flower geometry complexity and updated trumpet flower node to take advantage of the new 2D filter.
