Grebesoft has announced ProStacker, a free plugin for Photoshop designed for CGI artists offering a suite of image stacking and layer management tools. Features include:
- The ability to match the layers in a Photoshop document to the images in a selected location and selectively update them.
- The ability to view layer metadata
- The ability to group layers using rules and use the alpha element as a mask
- The ability to sort layers.
- The ability to load images as normal layers or Smart Object layers into a new or current document.
- Deadline and Bridge versions are also available.

Looks promising, I hope it doesn’t run into the same issues with Pulze post manager. Could not get that one to update layers properly.
Also it says “One month free tial” in the video end card and youtube video description, although in Adobe Exchange it’s just marked as free.
As we understand, it started life as a commercial plugin but has since been made free.

I’m the creator of ProStacker. You’re right that the youtube videos are out of date. I recently released a newer version of ProStacker (seen on the website) and decided to make it free. I’ll update the videos to reflect this.
