After years of waiting, PMG has finally announced the arrival of their Messiah:studio. PMG also announced that a special advance release of Messiah:studio will ship in the first week of October 2001 and is available to anyone who is already scheduled to receive Messiah:studio, or anyone who purchases it before October 1, 2001. Many more details have been disclosed regarding PMG’s animation and rendering package: Messiah:studio will feature a hierarchical expressions system, an integrated particle system (with real-time OpenGL motion blur), nonlinear animation editor, OpenGL supported toon shader, interactive (real-time) soft body dynamics, Renderman RIB output, etc. Messiah:studio is priced at $1395.
