Games historian and archivist Jason Scott has made the source code for several of Infocom’s text adventures available on Github. We know this news isn’t strictly 3D related, but it’s certain to be of interest to a certain, dare we say older, generation of artists that grew up placing Zork, Hitchikers Guide, Nord and many others. Check it out on Github, but be aware, if you want to understand the source code you’ll need to be able to code in ZIL, short for Zork Implementation Language. Fortunately an instruction manual is also available.
