A request has been posted on the Autodesk 3DS Max feedback site asking for a new spacewarp for PFlow particles that could use a spline as its directional control, with a number of useful options such as per vertex taper/falloff/influence. Interested? Visit the 3DS Max feedback pages to vote for the feature or to add your opinion on what other options could make this spacewarp more useful. More on 3DSMaxFeedback.Autodesk.com.
If we get enough votes I am sure we will get something cool!
67 votes so far! C’mon peeps 🙂
Sure it would be neat, but there are tons of features that deserves a higher priority then this..Autodesk moves really slow and this is not what they should focus the next 14 months on.
You are completely missing the point. Had you ever considered that maybe something may already exist and is quite close to completion?
This is about “interest” not about “priority”.
Besides, you are a modeller, it is obvious you wouldn’t find this useful. 😉
@John: The news item did not mention the code was almost ready, so Octo had no way of knowing.
@Octo: Like John said, the code is almost finished. This is to see if there’s interest in integrating it into Max, since it’s a really useful tool. It won’t put any other features in the back seat.
Yeah, thanks for the intervention, sorry, it did not mention the tools current state.
It gets tiresome hearing the same old thing of “who thinks what has priority over what.” One man’s trash is another man’s treasure. 🙂
You’re welcome.
Very true. I like the phrase. I’ll adopt it. 🙂
I am out of votes, but i would like to see this feature too.
Btw, i am also interested in the Spline-skinning tool that Mr. Hudson mentioned once….just in case someone is reading this. 😉
