Chaos has updated Anima, its crowd and traffic simulation software for architectural visualization, to version 6.2. The release introduces fully crewed vehicles, passengers, and automatic braking and indicator lights. Crowds can now be generated using tag-based systems or along 4D paths, allowing for context-aware movement and more natural character behavior in complex scenes.
Anima 6.2 also adds over 120 new models, including 4D animated characters and a range of urban vehicles. The update focuses on creating livelier environments with dynamic traffic and human movement, while reducing the need for manual adjustments during animation setup.
The software includes performance upgrades for users working with 3ds Max, including faster scene loading and generation, reduced memory use, and quicker material handling. Integration with V-Ray and Corona has also been improved. Anima now supports centralized scripting for 3ds Max 2025 and later, enabling automated, no-GUI installations and easier deployment across multiple workstations.
Anima 6.2 is available as part of Chaos’s ArchViz Collection for V-Ray and Corona users, or as a standalone product compatible with 3ds Max, Cinema 4D, and Unreal Engine.
