Storyboarder v2.0 announced (free)
Wonder Unit has announced an update to Storyboarder, its free digital storyboarding tool. New features in version 2.0 include a new window called Shot Explorer that allows the user to see camera opportunities based on the scene, improved performance and a new UI that includes camera controls and tooltips in Shot Generator, tabs in the inspector to simplify making object changes, the ability to orbit around objects, a new drop-down to change camera framing and angle, refactored IK System and display of IK pole targets, and gizmos to rotate objects in shot generator.
There have also been improvements to VR support including the local multiuser support that allows several headsets to enter the same Shot Generator scene and see each other and a fix for HTTPS VR and custom environments.
The announcement also includes some information about what to expect in the upcoming versions which will extend the multiuser features to allow for artists to work on a single scene from different locations. For users that do not own VR headsets. AR support will be added that allows the use of phones and other devices to view a scene.
