Pixlr and Sumo Paint are two free online 2D painting applications that make Photoshop users feel right at home. They lack several features but are great temporary replacements if you’re online and don’t have Photoshop at hand. Check them out: Pixlr – Sumo Paint. (Note: Autodesk acquired Pixlr in July 2011)

Both of them are Flash, and both of them are awesome.

🙂 Glad you liked the paint programs, Ali. Flash – if it works, why not? As long as it’s available as a separate application and does not intrude into a website’s functionality…
Regarding HTML5, it probably won’t take many years until we see something like this implemented with W3 standards.
