why post about this. terrible
Personally I think that the what can only be described as ‘unusual’ production values are part of the charm. There’s an element of the uncanny to this, mixed with some good old-fashioned silliness.-
Art has not to do only with rules and craftsmanship but also breaking them. This is funny, bold, provocateur, surreal, sometimes poetic (ocean scene), well executed and of its own kind. It is recognizable in a 3d artistic community that most of us create sci-fi and medieval themes or something between. It is a love-hate experience but it has personality.
The first time I saw one of his short films I thought “wtf!? This is horrible”.
Now I kind of understand them and quite enjoy the videos. Silly and funny experiments, and a good amount of effort put into this.
I don’t understand this: when artist makes one unique “master piece” then artist start make it again and again, like re-booting spiderrman… Same thing with all artists – video, painter, music… What’s the point? I don’t get it. Maybe I need to find my thing and start make it repeatedly.
Those human like and psychopathic naked creatures remind me of the anime Attack On Titan, so scary!
this is amazing. david is a visionary making exactly what he wants how he wants it also happens to reach a gigantic audience….
