Newtek announced that shipping of the PAL version of its desktop video effects, editing and live switching system will start on May 1, 2002. The new Toaster is optimized for the Pentium 4, which makes it possible to process multiple streams of real-time, uncompressed video for editing, live switching, or streaming to the Internet. The Video Toaster 2 consists of software, a capture card, and cables. A live switcher, SDI connections, and Genlock are optional.
