Formerly U-RENDER worked in a standalone application, but this new release introduces full integration with Cinema 4D. For those users that want it, the standalone version remains available.

You could pay £299, or you could just head over to blender and download Eevee for free
The choice is yours haha

Except Bender is totally different app, which is useless if you use C4D, have a load of C4D plugins, enjoy using C4D and simply can’t stand Blender’s UI and (at times) clunky workflow.

it would be so nice one could downvote garbage like this into “hidden comment”.

I think we need to bring back the comment voting. Too much shit talking going on in this site.

Pretty sure they were removed because they were spammed with votes. Comments that were on topic were voted to the bottom. Ones that had nothing to do with the topic went to the top.

We should have a #Blender filter on the comments. So on any news that are not blender related we can hide them automatically. XD

Imagine if any news about MS Windows was instantly spammed with “or you could just use Linux” on various sites.

Just goes to show what a great job the Blender team are doing – Completely distributing the scene

Maybe we can both have exiting changes in the industry and treat other software development besides Blender kindly by staying on topic? Would be appreciated.

This Blender-bullyings are just ‘words in the wind’… Blender NEVER will ‘totally’ replace a professional 3d software for serious workflows. Anyway blender is a very useful tool sometimes. Congratulations for the developers.
Kisses.

Could you say it to Ubisof, epicGames, valve, framestore, tangentAnimation, netflix?

yes they see value in blender, just like everyone else. and they want to use it because it’s a good tool for some tasks. that’s it.
would you show us the link where some of them said they will totally replace their apps with blender?

This got potential. Gave it a quick testrun. Has about the same features as the other gpu realtime renderers (Eevee and Element 3D). It is even able to render Mograph animations wich is a big plus. However the Mograph Animations need to get exported each frame which adds up time. Static Animations dont and render in 0,5 seconds in 4k. Also had some problems with the aa settings and z-fighting. If you are looking for eevee in cinema 4d give it a try.

i tried this out too.
pretty nice but it seems there is no indirect light possible atm.
the workaround is ambient light+ occlusion.
the displacement mapping looks amazing on their hardsurface vid but my quick tests were iffy looking.

keeping an eye on this for sure.
