Unity Technologies has released version 2018.2 of its real-time engine, building on and further developing the Scriptable Render Pipeline (SRP) and Shader Graph changes introduced in version 2018.1. Other improvements include a new C# Job System, Burst Compiler and ECS that make it simpler to use multi-core processors.  See the Unity blog for all the details.

when you look at what’s coming for 2018.3 unity’s becoming the best game engine you can get,
2019 will be a serious option for AAA development

I’m not sure you can say ‘best’, any more than you can say one popular renderer is better than another. The best choice for one team/project won’t make sense for another. Having said that, Unity is getting stronger but then so if their competition.

Unity has great features yes but they still cant get a smooth camera controller right.. Cinemachine does a great job with a camera on rails, that part is buttery smooth, but when you create (or use built in) FPS or 3rd person controller, the motion is horrendous, micro stutters \ stepping everywhere. I can instantly spot a Unity3D game without seeing it’s logo. To me, it’s a deal breaker.. No matter how great the other features are.
