Varo is a standalone application developed by Boomer Labs and Joker Martini that allows users to send commands to various software packages, including 3DS Max and Maya. Varo uses the socket/port to send and receive commands and provides the ability to create tabs and filters, making it easy to organize project files all in one place. Launching commands or opening files is as simple as double clicking on a file name within the Varo interface, placing all of the artists common operations
in a single, well organized tool (a must for production environments).
Included with Varo is SocketMXS, a plugin for 3DS Max 2015 and 2016 that adds the ability to send commands directly to Max. List price for the package is $100 USD per seat. A free downloadable demo version is available. More information on Boomer Labs.
