laughed my AssOff till death when they announced the egg spline shape, they’re justifying it because it’s really freakin weird thing they’ve done, you can make it very easily with a simple circle shape in no time
I guess it’s better for Autodesk to focus on fixing bugs more than the damned chickens
I think it’s more of an interop thing for revit and the sorts. But it is a little weird…
Months of research, design and programming went into the egg spline.
So when you convert this to a poly dose that mean you have EGG on you face?
This script could do that http://www.scriptspot.com/3ds-max/scripts/cam-spline
Is there T-Splines in 2013?
So that finally settles the question what came first. Looking forward to the Chicken preset for Biped in 2014.

Haha 🙂 the problem is that you can’t make an egg from this egg-spline (you have to cut it first and lathe etc). I am looking forward for the Egg Object in 2014, just below the Teapot.
Egg splines aren’t meant to be used for eggs … (but it doesn’t mean you can’t abuse them to create eggs).
They’re related to Civil View: in Civil 3D you can create egg shape pipe cross-sections. There are exacting diameter relationships to the nature of this specific shape and how they relate to egg-shaped piping for sewage.. Here’s a link:
