Raylight announced that v2.0 of their unwrapping tool for 3DS Max has been released and is now available to the artists who helped fund the development of the software through their Indiegogo campaign. New features include: align/sort islands to arrange islands horizontally or vertically, multi-unwrap channels UDIM (UV offset system), UV symmetry, islands with the same shape can be overlapped in the same position of the map, support for Max and Maya 2016, etc. The company will make the software available for purchase publicly in a couple weeks. The Maya version is scheduled for release approximately by the end of October. More on Indiegogo.

Honestly, I can not recommend this crowdfunding support. In 2009 I bought a version of xrayunwrap and never got anything. Talk to one “Faust” and was in contact to prepare for my license and another to my little school, and simply stopped responding and was unlicensed, but if I paid my 5 €. 5€ is ridiculous, and I will not be poor by losing, but since then have that thorn.
I wrote emails to remember, and never an answer.
in 2014 I went back to write another post, and also, did not deign to respond.
I guess it’s not a scam, because most users would have complained and have more products, but their treatment and indifference make me believe that they are not trustworthy, and I feel obliged to express it.
Hello Juan, please write to my mail massi@raylightgames.com and i will try to address your problem. Thanks
Massi
The Crowdfunding is finished time ago, we reached our goal and people are already getting their copy/ies of Xrayunwrap 2.0 for 3ds Max, Maya will follow by the end of the month. Thanks.
Ten points for Massi!
They have contacted me from raylight and have treated me very well. They have fixed my problem with very good manners and besides, they made me a great deal.
Thanks to Massi and Raylight too 🙂
Thank you for your comment and i hope you will like xrayunwrap too 🙂
Thank you both for posting the updates here. We’re very glad to hear this was resolved positively (we had no doubt this would be the case) and that this site could be useful for this. That is what we built it for.
CGP you are great! thanks a lot for your hard work
Thank you for the good words!
