Inglobe Technologies has released the ARmedia 3D SDK, a software development kit for creating augmented reality applications that offers a new 3D mapping and tracking approach, allowing to create applications capable of recognizing and tracking objects independently of their size and geometry. The SDK is intended to enable developers to add digital interaction to real world objects (not only flat surfaces). The ARmedia SDK can be integrated with any 3D engine and authoring environment, the company is already offering functional integration with Unity 3D and Open Scene Graph. Ngrain Augmented Reality is a software designed to streamline the creation of augmented reality (AR) content. It lets you import models created with major 3D applications and superimpose content such as text, audio, animations and video. The software aims to remove many of the technical barriers to generating and deploying AR experiences. More on Ngrain's site.

The Foundry has unveiled Colorway, a tool for streamlining the iterative design workflow. Much like Motiva's Colimo, Colorway allows to modify scenes' lights, colors and textures after rendering. The software is bundled with a presentation application that turns it into a review tool, which allows clients to make modifications within predetermined materials and lighting options. These changes can then be exported back to the original 3D scene. Colorway currently works with scenes rendered with Modo, but support for other 3D applications is on the way (starting with Cinema 4D). More on The Foundry's site.

Imagineer Systems have released the latest version of their planar tracker, Mocha Pro 4.0. Mocha Pro 4.0 brings new advanced tools for stereo 3d, python scripting, Adobe Premiere support, and much more. This latest release also brings the new Mocha Plus, a replacement for Mocha AE which now includes a new 3d camera solver, and lens correction toolset.
