Praxinos has released a beta of Iliad, its application for editing, painting and editing 2D textures that runs directly inside Unreal engine 4. The plugin is available free on Unreal Marketplace

The Krita Foundation has announced they are the recipients of a $25,000 Epic MegaGrant. This money goes towards the continued development of their open-source painting application. According to the announcement, the purpose of the grant is to fund improvements to Krita's development process so that its development becomes more sustainable. Find out more on the Krita website. 

Maxon, the developers of Cinema 4D (who also acquired Redshift earlier this year) and Red Giant. the creators of VFX and editing tools, have announced that the two companies have reached a cooperative agreement to merge under the media and entertainment division of Nemetschek Group.
