After numerous requests from artists, Serif has finally announced the open beta testing of Affinity Photo for Windows, its image editing application, which is now freely available for download. Affinity Photo supports end-to-end CMYK, LAB colour, 16-bits per channel editing, ICC color profiling and Photoshop PSD file format / 64-bit plugins. D3crypt3d is a new application designed to help artists protect their copyrighted 3d assets. It works by encrypting 3d files that then require a password when opened by a user. In addition it tracks who and when a file is unencrypted, and if unauthorised users try to access a file it displays a calling card.
