Solid Angle has a revamped website that includes a 15 day trial of Arnold Renderer, making it accessible to the public for the first time. The trial is currently available for Maya and Softimage, though 3rd party developers are currently working on unofficial exporters for Lightwave and 3DS Max. Pricing details have also been made available, individual licenses are priced at $1,300 currently with a minimum purchase of 5 licenses. Find out more on Solid Angle’s website.
I find it odd that they support Maya, Softimage and Houdini but no Max…? Great to see it opened up for public.
There’s this unofficial exporter being currently developed by a single guy:

I’d also like to have support for it from the company, it really looks good, it already did years ago. My only problem is the price tag…
Last time I inquired about a 3ds max version they told me they have requests for a c4d and max version but probably won’t do anything about until next year or so because currently their clients are mostly studios which use maya/softimage/houdini.
