Seriously? No Chinese product! Thank you!
That’s not chinese its Wacom reverse engineered with a new label on it, America loves china when they are making 1000000% profit, that extra 0 counts, heaven forbid things are produced locally with better quality control and slightly very slightly less zeroes in the books.
Frankly Wacom can suk it, i hope chinese surpass those greedy priks and their now subpar products. Let them reep what they sow, i remember when Wacom was made in japan it still sits on my desk, meanwhile the new overly expensive one is decaying, literally decaying its pen tips after two days of use not to mention the crap build quality and design!
I’m using latest intuos pro with the same pen tip for over a year now. What are You doing :D. And quality seems super solid, no problems at all. And yes, I work with it many hours a day , I’m a character artist.
So am I, this depends how old you are and how long you’ve been working, In which case you should know the difference between Intuos 3 (you know that old gray one) and the new ones.
I’m also talking about Cintiqs how low those have fallen build quality wise not to mention the crap arm stand they make you pay for which utterly fails every time. Have to go with a third party to make up for it.
The difference is surface facture. Its eating pen tips a little faster. But feels more ‘paper like’. It was bad in intuos 4, the one with mini lcd screens on the side. It’s ok in the new ‘pro’ ones. I’ve used intuos 4 for almost 15 years. Broken it in My backpack. Don’t own a cintiq so can’t comment. For sure they get crazy with the latest model price. I would buy Huion Kamvas pro instead.
Huion’s standard, not screen based tablets are very, very good at a fraction of the price of wacoms.
I`m happy with both Huion and XP-PEN after been finally fed up with WACOM and their arrogance and greed. I agree with everything Guest (the original) said!
Kevin, sorry to hear you’re having problems using your brain, but please keep it for yourself.
Hope you enjoy shopping craps on Temu!
With your brain, by the way!
I picked up a HUION KAMVAS Pro 16 2.5K QHD that I pair with my 17″ laptop. Works great as a second screen when i am traveling. I love it. The screen is sharp with great color accuracy and I love being able to use it as a tablet when needed.
Been using Wacom forever but there is nothing comparable from Wacom.
We had Wacom Representatives visit us earlier this year, at the meeting we said we switched to huion some time ago (over time Huion tablets have degraded about as much as our Wacom tablets) and asked to please justify paying for the huge markup, they simply couldn’t, almost didn’t try, It felt like they were thinking “not this question again”. For a tablet just for you I can see maybe the value in Wacom, but for a company that has 25+ employees and tablets are going to be replaced no mather what brand I can’t justify it.
For me there is a big reason. Some point last year huion drivers took out the multidisplay mapping . As a cg generalist I usually need to do stuff in several display before focusing on my main task. The ticket is still opened nowadays. On the other hand my wacom intuos pro large is still rocking 5 years later. I admit that the Kamvas pro 16 is awsome for the price you pay. For concept art, sculpting, painting and texturing probably thats all you need.
I use the HUION KAMVAS Pro 16 2.5K QHD with my laptop and it works great.
It’s big but still portable. It has great color accuracy and the resolution feels perfect for the size. I use it more for a second monitor than as a tablet but it works great as a tablet when I need it.
I looked into Wacom as well, since I’ve been using them forever, but there is just nothing comparable. The Huion connects with two usb c cables, one for image and the other for power. Super clean.
I have a KAMVAS Pro 16 2.5K QHD and 8 months after I bought it I got the purple hue around the frame issue that a lot of Huion customers seem to get. It’s a well-documented manufacturer defect. They even have a support page about it but the solution they provide doesn’t work. I tried several times to contact them about it but their customer support never responded to me until after the warranty was up. Then they claimed it was out of warranty so they couldn’t help me. I thought that was rather convenient considering they know it’s a manufacturer defect that would require sending a new tablet.
