I am in the US and as of 8:46 am Central time the download is not available.
I can confirm this. (Although I’m in Norway)
Only the 64bit installer available.
In fact, I had missed that this release is ONLY 64-bit, Windows 7 or 8 Professional.

Thanks for the info. This is world-wide collective news reporting. 🙂
For those that don’t see it yet in their subs, if I were Autodesk, subscription downloads would be released in buckets and not all at once to avoid hammering the system with 100,000+ concurrent download requests for 4gb install package.
Just sayin’ … 🙂
Yeah, I believe they’re released in steps. I believe this was the case last year. Our ECS is available, but not Max standalone. Soon…
Just to sweeten the waiting time a bit 😉
I have some positive news about deforming mesh performance.
I’m preparing video and data to post.
In summary, deforming mesh performace of 2014 Nitrous is better than any version of max with any driver. I tested against max 9/2009/2012/2013.
Nitrous is x10 faster than DirectX driver for point cache playback.
Max team also multi-threaded many “heavy” modifiers. Skin/SkinWrap/Vol.Select/Shell is a lot faster than before.
PS: don’t know wether quoting works this way or not here …
apperently not 😉
I downloaded the trial and started bashing it. So far I must say this version not only is faster with performance but the first time in many releases actually feels snappy in the viewports.
I started testing animated high poly characters & could scrub the timeline without “Stuttering”. Even with the trackview open which in the past hurt speed.
Anyway, this version is worth downloading the trial to test yourself even if you don’t upgrade or update. So far it’s taken a good beating.
Nice to finally hear someone saying something positive about max. I know it might not be the next gen 3d app everyone is looking for but in some areas max is unbeatable!
Now let’s get all those plugins going! Max alone is booooooring 😀
85% of all plugins currently made for max 2013 also works on 2014. From Vray to forest pack pro etc.
Anselm, FumeFX has an installer already for 3ds max 2014
