Adobe introduces Substance 3D Connector to enhance 3D workflows
Adobe has announced the release of Substance 3D Connector, a new open-source framework designed to facilitate the integration of different 3D software tools for more efficient data sharing.
The Substance 3D Connector is developed with the aim of simplifying the ‘SendTo’ workflows, which involves the seamless transfer of assets such as 3D geometry and materials between Substance 3D tools and other leading 3D applications including Blender, Unreal Engine 5, Unity, 3ds Max, and Maya. It offers features that enable the easy identification of compatible applications for data transfer and allows for selective sharing of information, granting users significant flexibility in their 3D creation endeavors.
Adobe has committed to continuous improvement of the Substance 3D Connector, with plans to introduce future updates that will incorporate real-time synchronization between applications, among other advanced features.
